Dial a Ride Service

Demand Response (Dial-A-Ride)

Same day curb-to-curb service is offered for riders with disabilities and people who do not have access to fixed route services within the City of Benton Harbor,St Joseph, Benton Township, and Royalton Township. Pick-up times subject to availability. Fares range from $2.00 - $4.00 for a one way trip. Click here for a complete listing of fares and prepaid punch card tickets prices.

How Do I Schedule a Ride

TCATA provides ride on a first-called/first-served, space available basis. Same-day service will be provided for riders with disabilities and people who do not have access to fixed route services. Calls are taken Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m and Saturdays from 8:00a.m to 4:00pm. To schedule a ride, please call our dispatch office at 269.927.4461 

When Will I Be Picked Up and Returned Home

When scheduling a ride, you will be given a 15-20-minute time frame for your pickup (e.g. pickup time for a 10 a.m. appointment may be between 9:00 a.m. and 9:20 a.m.)  You may wait in your residence until the driver arrives. He/She will honk the horn and can wait for up to three (3) minutes only so please be ready.

For your return trip, the driver will pick you up within 15 minutes of your requested return time. Should your trip times change, or you wish to cancel, please notify the scheduling office immediately at 269.927.4461

Seniors ages 60 and older and individuals with disabilities are eligible to receive half fares. Please apply for the Reduced Fare Card Program  and return the application to your nearest transportation provider.
