TCATA Fares & Passes
Fares and Passes
Upon boarding the bus, it is required that riders pay the exact fare as drivers do not provide change. Some individuals find that purchasing the pre-paid punch cards are more convenient.
What Is a Pre-Paid Fare Card
The two punch cards which are prepaid fare cards are available the Blue Card $13.50 ($15.00 Value) and the White Card $22.50 ($25.00 Value) can be used both for Dial-A-Ride trips and the Fixed Routes. The business card format was designed to make traveling less cumbersome and can easily fit into any wallet or handbag. The Twin Cities Dial- A-Ride is allowing individuals to ride the fixed route buses free to the Dial-A-Ride headquarters to purchase the punch card!
How To Use a Pre-paid Fare Card
Upon boarding the bus driver will punch the appropriate amount of punches that will equal the total amount of fare for your particular trip. Find the fares and punch ticket prices below. Which card is best for you? If you ride the Fixed Routes often and have a reduced fare card, then the Blue Card with $.50 punches is best. If you often travel to medical appointments on Hollywood Road, the White Card with $1.00 and $2.00 is best.
