BERRIEN COUNTY
Disabled American Veteran Shuttle (DAV)
Through the Transportation Network, DAV offers veterans shuttle service, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from designated pick-up points in Berrien and Van Buren Counties to Battle Creek Medical Center for treatment. Battle Creek Medical Center is also the transportation transfer point for veterans that need to go on to Ann Arbor or Detroit for more specialized medical treatment.
How to Arrange Transportation
First schedule your medical appointment and then secure a ride from your home to one of the designated shuttle pickup points (see chart below) in north Berrien or Van Buren Counties. Confirm your seat on the van when you call at least 48 hours prior to your appointment time to Veterans Transportation Service in Battle Creek at 1-888-214-1247 x 33871.

Transportation to VA Clinic Mishawaka IN
Transportation to VA Clinic in Mishawaka, Indiana is offered Monday thru Friday. A morning medial appointment, prior to noon, is required. To schedule a ride on the van, contact: Ken Ward, DAV Transportation Director at 800-360-8387 ext. 73509, a week in advance, then schedule a morning medical appointment, at the VA clinic.

Battle Creek Medical Center is also the transportation transfer point for veterans that need to go on to Ann Arbor or Detroit for additional medical treatment.

Before calling to schedule your trip on the shuttle you must have your medical appointment scheduled in Battle Creek and have secured a ride to one of the designated shuttle pickup points (see chart below)
At least 48 hours prior to your appointment please call the Niles Senior Center at (269) 683-9380 to reserve your ride.

The Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center provides courtesy transportation for Veterans with appointments at the Ann Arbor Healthcare System, John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Grand Rapids VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic and Muskegon VA Outpatient Clinic. In addition, door to door transportation is provided to Veterans receiving treatment in the VA Battle Creek Visual Impairment Services Outpatient Rehabilitation Program.
